Deep ruminations, random thoughts . . .
C'mon it's a blog what did you expect?
Dear James,I am sorry to hear of our loss. I have known the Sonics for about 30 years and will mourn their passing. Rejoice in the knowledge that others will care and root for a home team as we have for over a quarter century. Who knows, maybe in 41 years they will have a better offer and move back to an actual city. In our time of loss, let us not forget we still have the Seahawks, Mariners, Thunderbirds, and even the Blazers. These teams will also need fans, people to buy merchandise, and most importantly buy tickets so they will not have to move too. Farewell Sonics, I hope lawsuits keep you in court for many years to come.
Yeah, the funny thing is Paul Allen is one of the two owners who voted against it. Good for him.
Even though I bleed Blazer, I must do nothing but mourn with you brother. Years of rivalry between Portland and Seattle have provided more than enough amazing games and match-ups.At the risk of being exegetically crazy, I can think of nothing else than God's words through Micah, "I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob, I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel."Yes, James, the Sonics are soon to be but a remnant that is led into the exilic world of Oklahoma.
Does this mean that the next closest rival is Sacramento? Go KINGS!
Thank you for your openness and lack of vitriol to those who have wronged you. Keep moving forward on this lifelong journey of faith, through faith to faith realized.Christian counseling Renton
