In class

I'm feverishly studying the Pentateuch (the first five books of the bible) this week. I'm in class 8 hours a day this week so I don't have a lot of time for the ol' blog-munity-o-sphere-ville-erton-burg. I will resume the addiction later.

Hey, for a really fun trick, stand up in the middle of class and blurt out a prophecy based on the Genesis texts involving the Nephilim. It'll really get the class off to a good start...

The Nehphilim, those are the distant ancestors of the Snuffilupigus, right?

I believe they are actually a half-breed of the Heffalump and Mormons.

*sigh*I suppose I will have to enlighten you all with my stunning graduate education.

The word Nehphilim comes from the root word Nehph which means, "a stench" and the suffix Ilim is the plural form of Il which in general referrs to that with which one girds up one' loins. So an idiomatic translation would be: Stinky Britches.

Just thought you would like to know.
