Kingdom Come

I know this thought is not new to me, but it really hit me hard last night as we were reading through the end of Deuteronomy. The people of God are to be a community that reflects a picture of his perfect Kingdom. Not only are each of us to be reflections of Christ who dwells in us through the Spirit, but our community is to reflect the divine community and the perfect Kingdom. This will be our most effective evangelism - when people see us doing our best to live the perfect community in the midst of our broken world they will be won over. "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

Right on! Individually speaking, I think the Kingdom-oriented view of things leads to a much richer, and more blessed life than the "don't sin so you can get your reward when you die" way of looking at things. If we really bring it like God wants us to, I think we'll start to see miracles and the world around us changed -- there is so much more out there for us in this life than we're used to imagining. Be blessed! - b
